This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. L. Pettis, Jr., of this office on March 4-6, 1985, of your facility at San Jose, California, and to the discussions of our findings with Mr. J. J. Fox and members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
During this inspection, the inspectors reviewed and obtained copies of selected General Electrics (GE) Service Information Letters (SILs), and also reviewed the status of previous inspection findings, Potentially Reportable Condition files, and various reactive items. Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the enclosed report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
