that were previously requested in the H. L. Thompson memo to you dated March 14, l 1985, concerning SER Confimatory Issue (30), "RCIC testing procedures." and SER ,

Outstanding Issue (21), "Ptanalysis of Transients and Accidents: . Development of Ercrgency Operating Procedures." The latter iten pertains to the development of E0Ps in acccrdance with NRC approved precedures generation package guidelines.  ;

r In further consultation with the NRR staff reviewer, the evaluation findings  ;

docurnented in Section 7.4.2.4 of SER Supplement No. 2. relative to the RCIC t testing procedures confimatory issue, fully resolve the issue and further 1 confirmation by the regional insKction staff is not required. This is being clarified in SER Supplement No. 8, which we plan to issue concurrently with the Perry low pcver c rating license. Accordingly, Inspection Open Item 85022-43 should be closed.

With respect to SER Outstanding Issue (21), the NRR staff reviewer has provided 4 the Project !!anager (J. J. Stefano) evaluation fir. dings, for documentation in SER Supplen.ent No. 8, which fully resolve the issue. The applicant's proposed schedule for completing the validetion of certain emergency procedurcs subsequent for Perry I low power licensing has been (cund to be acceptable. Those evaluation l findings are beir.g docuraented in SER Supplement No. 8. Accordingly, inspection i Open item 85022-07 should be closed, j Mr. J. Grobe was advised of these changes by Mr. Stefano on December 18, 1985.
