Modification No. 1 to Contract No. NRC-04-96-066 entitled " Technical Assistance for the New Thermal-Hydraulics Code Planning"
Dear Dr. Karniadakis:
The subject contract expired on September 30, 1996, and we are initiating closeout action. However, pending completion of all required closecut requirements, it is necessary to deobligate excess funds remaining under this contract for other immediate agency requirements. Therefore, enclosed for your review and execution are three (3) signed copies of the subject modification deobligating excess funds in the amount of $2,650.00.
Please have an appropriate official sign all three (3) copies and return two (2) copies to the address below within ten (10) days from date of this letter. You should retain one (1) fully executed copy for your files.

If negative reports are appropriate, statements to that effect are required.
You are also requested to complete the enclosed forms regarding Final Release, General Assignments and Certification of proceeds from refunds, rebates, credits and other amounts as required by the contract.
When the final cost determination has been made, you will be notified and asked to submit your final invoice.
