PROGRAM PLAN FOR THE INCIDENT INVESTIGATION PROGRAM Enclosed for your information and use is a copy of the AE0D Program Plan for the development and implementation of the Incident Investigation Program. This plan has been reviewed by NRR, IE, PES, NMSS, ELD, PM, ADM, the Regional Offices and the DEDR0GR Staff. Comments that related to the development and implementa-tion of the program have been incorporated in this plan.
The program plan that was circulated for comment contained information that will now be included in the IIP Manual Chapter. Accordingly, this information -
has been removed from the program plan. We received.many valuable comments from the Offices on this information which will be considered in the.
preparation of the draft Manual Chapter and procedures. These latter documents will also be circulated for review and comment.
The target schedule for completion of the initial phase of IIP development is July 31, 1986. The schedule for the necessary supporting activ.ities has been established to meet this end date. However, AE0D resources are heavily com-mitted to the investigation of the San Onofre and Rancho Seco events and, as a result, this schedule is very tight. Thus, some impact may occur if additional IITs are necessary during the first six months of 1986.
