SUBJECT:
S0IL-STRUCTURE INTERACTION ANALYSIS OF AP600 NUCLEAR ISLAND STRUCTURES Attached is a report titled, "AP600 Nuclear Island Confirmatory Analysis of Soil-Structure Interaction Effects." There are two items of relevance in the attached report that were discussed with Westinghouse during a conferenu call on May 14, 1997. These two items are as follows:
1.
Inconsistencies in section properties of the seismic model of nuclear island structures (see Page 4 of the rer'rt).
2.
Sensitivity of structural responses to specific frequencies (see the 3rd bullet on Page 11, and Figures 5 and 8 of this report).
