" Single Air Force License for Radioactive Material".

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued a single r ad io ac tiv e material license of broad scope to the USAF Radio-isotope Committee on 26 June 1985, which ef f ectively transfers authority and responsibility for the control of all radioactive material in the Air Force to the Committee. Effective 26 June 1985, all NRC Licenses issued to Air Force organizations are terminated and replaced with USAF Radioactive Material Permits.

This letter provides notification that your previous NRC License n u n t e r S N hR1123) w i t h expiration date o f 3 0-S E P-3 8, has been conv erted to a
US AF Radioactiv e Material Permit number SNM-192 7-AF P with ne w e x piration date of 30-SEP-86. A new USAF Radioactive Material Permit will be issued to you when your permit expires and you file for a renewal. Your only actions required at this time are to attach this letter to your existing NRC License and to respond by separate correspondence with a verification of receipt of this notification. Send verification letter to HQ AFOMS/SGPh, Brooks AFB TX 732 3 5-5 0C0 wit hi, 15 da ys o f rec eipt.
Please note the change in mailing address for the USAF Radio-isotope Committee and forward all future correspondence to this address.
