Description A protectiva overpack'having a double-valled, low-carbon steel shell (3/16" outer uall and 20 gauge insida vall) uith rigid polyurethane foan (ncainally 7" thick) therrul-shock insulation between the ualls.
The edges of the overpac.k are rainforced with 10 gauge steel angles velded to the outer face of the valls and inte nal diagonal 14 cauge steel plates. Overpack lid closure is provided by three 1" steel rods which extend the full uidth, welded to an end plate at one end and secured by a pin at the other end. Enclosed within the overpach is a bolted and gasketed,12 gauge 10.9 carbon steel inner containce.
The gross weight of the package is about 6100 pounds.
