! The NRC staff has evaluated the information provided in your April 8,1996, i

submittal related to NRC Bulletin 96-01, Control Rod Insertion Problems. l The staff has determined that the required actions have been completed for the North Anna Power Station, Units 1 and 2 and for the Surry Power Station, Units 1 and 2. We understand you are continuing to monitor and participate in the ongoing industry efforts to address the potential control rod insertion concerns and will continue to send the results to the Commission for information. Your submittals of information for the Surry plant, dated June 13, 1996 and January 10, 1997, are appreciated, and we are evaluating them as part of the industry response to the bulletin.

With this letter, we are closing out Tac Nos. M95014 and M95015 for North Anna Power Station, Units 1 and 2, and Tac Nos. M95010 and M95011 for Surry Power Station, Units 1 and 2.
