The Commission met with staff and Dr. David Torgerson, Director of Reactor Safety Research, Atomic Energy of Canada, Ltd. and chairman of the Committee on the Safety of Nuclear Installations (CSNI) special task force on source term to receive a periodic briefing on source terms.
Chairman Palladino requested staff to provide written comments addressing the March 14, 1986 letter from John Taylcr, Vice President of Nuclear Power, EPRI, in which Mr. Taylor called attention to possible inadequacies in the design of experiments in source term research and development.
