May 13,1997 10 CFR Part 50 App H U S Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT Docket Nos. 50-282 License No. DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Prairie Island Units 1 and 2 Reactor Vessel Material Surveillance Program Reports On January 15,1997 and July 30,1996 we had submitted summary tecimical reports for surveillance capsules removed from the reactor vessels of Unito 1 and 2 respectively. Since the January submittal, we have discovered an error which affected both reports. The analyses have been redone and revised reports have been prepared.
Attached are the revised technical reports summarizing the results of the analysis of Capsule S for Unit 1 and Capsule P for Unit 2. In addition, we are enclosing revised evaluations of pressurized thermal shock for both units, performed in accordance with 10 CFR Part 50 Section 50.61 foi your information.
In this letter we have made no new Nuclear Regulatory Commission commitments.
