l The purpose of this modification is to increase the obligated amount of the subject contract by $35,542.00 from $248,649.00 to $284,191.00 to allow for the update of the CFR Self Study Quizzes for FY 97 in accordance with Subsections C.3.1.f and C.3.3 of the contract.

Accordingly, the contract is hereby modified as follows:

Under Subsection B.3 Items and Prices, CLIN 0007 is deleted in its entirety and the following is substituted in lieu thereof:

"(b) The amount presently obligated with respect to this contract is

$284,191.00. The Contracting Officer may issue orders for work up to the amount presently obligated. This obligated amount may be unilaterally increased from time to time by the Contracting Officer by written modification to this contract.

The obligated amount shall, at no time, exceed the contract ceiling as specified in paragraph a above. When and if the amount (s) paid and payable to the Contractor hereunder shall equal the obligated amount, the Contractor shall not be obligated to contiiiue performance of the work unless and until the Contr::cting Officer shall increase the amount obligated with re vcct to this contract. Any work I

undertaken by the Contractor in excess of the obligated amount specified above is done so at the Contractor's sole risk."
