This is in response to your letter dated September 23, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), infonnation submitted by specified manufacturers and users of sealed sources'for the
" Registry of Radioactive Sealed Sources and Safety Evaluation of Sources."
On the enclosed appendix is a list of documents that are being placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) located at 1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC 20555, in file folder F0lA-85-666 in your name.
In the appendix there is information which you desired on the following manufacturers and users:

Minnesota Mining and Nuclear Data, Inc.
Manufacturing Norland Corp.

l Isotope Products, Inc., is the same as IPL.
Gamma Industries and Gulf Nuclear do not comercially distribute Iodine-125 sources.
ICN - Staff is not cognizant of any information for Iodine-125 in the ICN Registry of Radioactive Sealed Sources and Devices Safety Evaluation of Devices.

- R t Ms. Urban t In regard to users, they are required to only reference the appproved source to use it. Therefore, no data on source is included in the user files. Nova Laboratories, Inc., does not distribute a 125-Iodine source,and we do not have any information on file relative to Beta Diagnostic.
We are enclosing a notice'that provides charges and procedures for obtaining copies of records from the PDR.
