Dear Mr. Jolicoeur:
This letter provides notification of a planned ERDS software change scheduled to take place July 7,1997.
10CFR50 Appendix E, Section VI.3.b requires planned hardware and software modifications to the ERDS to be reported to the NRC as soon as practicable and at least 30 days prior to the modification.
We would like to make an improvement to our ERDS system by changing the way we process the termination message. The software module handles all message types and therefore we would like to schedule a complete retest at your convenience sometime after July 7,1997.
