This refers to the information meeting held at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Region 111 office on June 9,1997. During this meeting members of your staff presented the status of spent fuel storage at the Duane Arnold Energy Center, as well as options that are being considered for future storage. A handout (enclosed) was provided as reference n.aterial.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regu!ations, a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
