This is in response to your letter dated April 27, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), all documents that relate to the possibility of nuclear reactors, nuclear power plants, and/or nuclear " spent fuel" reprocessing facilities being destroyed by a nuclear weapon or explosive device and its consequences.

Documents one through three listed on the enclosed appendix are already available in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) located at 1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC 20555. We are enclosing a notice that explains procedures and

' charges for obtaining records from the PDR. The NRC staff informed us of an article in wnich you may be interested.

A copy of that article, which is also identified on the enclosed appendix, may be located by visiting a public library.
