NRC STAFF SUPPLEMENTAL ANSWER TO APPLICANTS' MOTION TO TERMINATE PROCEEDING On April 4, 1985, Public Service Company of Indiana , Inc. and Wabash Valley Power Association, In c. (" Applicants') filed with the Licensing Board a Motion To Terminato Proceeding (" Motion"). The Staff filed on April 24, 1985, " Staff Response To Applicants' Motion To Terminate Proceeding" ("NRC Staff Answer").
In its filing, the Staff noted that the technical staff was conducting an environmental review related to the Applicants' request to terminate the flarble Hill proceeding. A site visit was made by the NRC on November 18, 1985. Environmental Review at 1. (Copy Attached) As stated in the Environmental Review, the primary objective of the site visit was to determine whether the site restoration plan considered all critical site areas. Id. Based upon its review of the site, the Staff concludes that there will be no significant environmental impact resulting from the termination of the proceeding and subsequent termination of Construction Permit Nos. CPPR-170 and 171 for Marble Hill.
