Dear Dr. Jackson:

Congratulations on your recent appointment as Chairperson. It is with renewed hope that I send you this message: Lot.islana Energy Services (LES) is proposing a uranium enrichment plant that threatens the land, air and water quality of Forest Grove and Center Springs, Louisiana.

I believe that this facility is dangerous and iotally unnecessary, Furthermore, the siting of this facility between two low income African-American communities is a clear example of environmental racism and sets a dangerous precedent for other low income communities of color.

No community should be forced io host this dangerous facility. I ask that you use your authority to prevent LES from obtaining a permit to build the Claibome Enrichment Center and ensure the environme tection of local citizens.

Signature.
