Cong atulations on your recent appointment as Chairperson. It is with renewed hope that i send you this message: Louisiana Energy Services (LES) is proposing a uranium enrichment plant that threatens the land, air and water quality of Forest Grove and Center Springs, Louisiana.
I believe that this f acility is dangerous and totally unnecessary. Furthem1 ore,the siting of this facility between two low income African-American communities is a clear example of environmental racism and sets a dangerous precedent for other low income communities of color.
No community should be forced to host this dangerous facility.1 ask that you use your authority ic prevent LES from obtaining a permit to build the Claibome Enrichment Center and ensure the eilvironmental protection of local citizens.
