Dear Dr. Jackson:
Congratulations on your recent appointment as Chairperson. It is with renewed hope that i send you this message. Louisiana Energy Services (LES) is proposing a uranium enrichment plant tilat threatens the land, air and water quality of Forest Grove and Center SprinOs, Louisiana.
I beheve that this facility is dangerous and totally unnecessary. Furthermore,the siting of this facility between two low income African-American communities is a clear example of environmental racism and sets a dangerous precedent for other low income communities of color.
No community should be forced to host this dangerous facility. I askthat you use your authority to prevent LES from obtaining a permit to build the Claitxxne i
Enrichment Center and ensure the environmental pmtection of local citizens.
