This letter will serve to inform the NRC of Centerior Energy's request to cancel The Quality Assurance Program # 0693 effective immediately.
Our previous License was 34-23406-01.
Wh:n the decision was made in 1995 to cease Field Radiography because of the increasing cost to maintain the program along with the decline in thm use of che source the License was canceled, it was assumed that the i
Quality Program was also automatically canceled, which we recently came to find out was not. Our legal department was called upon to ensure a complete accurate cancellation was done this time and it appears that nothing to date has been done, for this, please accept may apology.
