DIESEL GENERATOR SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS (TAC. HOS.
M90662, M90663, AND M90664)
This letter requests TS-351 be withdrawn from further consideration.
TS-351 was submitted on October 7, 1994, and proposed the revision of surveillance requirements for plant operation with an inoperable diesel generator.
These changes were proposed in order to more closely reflect the requirements of the Improved Standard Technical Specifications (ISTS) for BWR/4s (NUREG-1433).
TVA subsequently proposed conversion of its current TS to the ISTS format (TS-362, dated September 6, 1996).
TS-362 also includes surveillance requirements for inoperable diesel generators consistent with the BWR/4 ISTS format.
Therefore, TS-351 is redundant and, as requested by the NRC's Project Manager, should be withdrawn.
