on April 17, 1997 at approximately.3:00pm I spoke with Rory Grube of Sevenson L Environmental Services about John Schoeniger's-April 15, 1997 request to conduct work in Room #6 of the West wing and Room #7 of the SE wing. I told Schoeniger that Sevenson did not want any activities conducted in these rooms until after the final survey is completed. I also informed Schoen1ger that
, Room #6 of the West wing is one of the most contaminated rooms in the facility. Furti:er I stated that the equ.ipment in Room #7 of the SE wing has

' disposed of at this time. i
! We discussed the schedule for remediation efforts in the building. I L
mentioned that NRC will continue to work with Cleveland Enterprise Group to.
get the facility released as soon as possible. I informed him that any activity unapproved by Sevensoa, may jeopardize the cleanup efforts and. delay i getting the building released for unrestricted use. Mr. Schoeniger agreed to l
consult with Sevenson before initiating'any activities.
