This is in regard to your letter dated May 21, 1984 concernir.g the nodel number designatiors assigned to Certificate of Compliance No. 9080.
l Nonna11y the applicant who submits the design for an approval from the NRC assigns his own model number to the package in accordance with 10 CFR 571.33(a)(3). - In certain cases a user nay submit a drawing of essentially the same package with minor changes.
In those cases we have allowed a second model number designation in order to distinguish between which set of drawings the package has been built t.
There is no basis to grant your request for your own modei number designation for a package built to previously approved drawings.
If you provide l
your own separate drawings for the package, we would consider granting
[
your request. An application for a change to an approval should be accompanied by a fee in accordance with 10 CFR 9170.31(11).
