Dear Sir:

Limiting conditions for operation (LCO) 3.7.9 of the Trojan Technical Speci-fications require that a special report be provided if certain fire barrier penetrations become nonfunctional and cannot be returned to functional status within seven days.

As a result of surveillance during Plant Modifications on May 31, 1984, a three hour rated barrier between the Computer Room and the Cable Spreading Room in the Control Building was identified as being nonfunctional. It had been degraded during scheduled modification activities on May 18, 1984. Compensatory fire protection was provided during the period of degradation as required by the Trojan Technical Specifications. This barrier was restored to a functional status on May 31, 1984.

1 Sincerely, f

C. P. undt General Manager e  ;
