VALIDATION OF ELECTRONIC EXPOSURE REPORT REPORT FOR SECOND QUARTER 1996 i

l The computer disk containing the employee exposure report for the second quarter of 1996 i

has been received and a validation report from the NRC Employee Exposure System (EES) is attached for your review and acceptance. The report consists of two parts - a detailed listing of acceptable records for your office and a summary of records that generated error messages when EES tried to validate them (e.g., Load Summary). None of these records have been entered into the NRC database yet.

Please note that for the Headquarters account (no.16480) this disk appears to contain records for both second quarter 1996 and third quarter 1996. If the data for both monitoring periods is complete and acceptable, we can accept the disk and request the contractor to not transmit these racords again on the third quarter disk.

We request ths; you have your Radiation Safety Officer or other appropriate individual for your office perform an expedited review of the records for your employees and verify that they are acceptable. Please provide comments conceming the acceptability of this report to us by April 23,1997.

Most of the records in the load summary will not be entered into the MRC database unless the missing or erroneous data is corrected. You must provide us v;;th the necessary information to correct these records if you want them entered into the NRC database. The dosimetry contractor (Radiation Detection Company) should be informed of errors that may be repeated on future reports also.
