Dear Mr. Frazee:
We have reviewed the final rule on the Washington decommissioning requirements, as contained in your ietter dated May 5,1997. Based on our review, we have determined that the final rule, as adoptediis compatible given that the text of the final rule is identical to that in the proposed rule. The final rule was reviewed by comparison to the proposed rule which, at an earlier date, was determined to be compatible with the equivalent NRC regulations in 10 CFR Parts 30 and 40.
