Gentlemen:

This is in reference to your letters dated April 20, 1985 and July 3, 1985 to

amend your byproduct material license. In order to complete our review, we

need the following additional information:

1. As we stated in Items 1. an'd 2. of our letter dated May 29, 1985, the

names, titles, and experience records of each individual who will

conduct radiography training or who will be responsible for the

day-to-day management or supervision of the radiography program ~should

be submitted. We do not feel that this is unduly restrictive, as it

describes only those personnel who will be acting as members of your

management staff.

2. - As we stated in Item'3. of our letter dated May 29, 1985, partial

training provided by other licensees cannot be accepted unless it is

specifically described in your _ application and is clearly supplemented

by company-specific training and other necessary training as required by

10 CFR 34.31. We must' verify that the training courses which you will

use meet the regulatory requirements. You should submit descriptions of

each training program that you plan to use to meet these requirements._

.We cannot issue the amendment which you have requested without this

information.

We will continue. the review of your amendment request upon receipt of this

information. You should submit your response within thirty (30) days from the

date of this notice. Please reply in duplicate, and refer to Mail Control No.

70184.
