50-328 By the October 2, 1984 letter from L. M. Mills to you we submitted a request to amend operating licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 (TVA-SQN-TS-60) for our Sequoyah Nuclear Plant units 1 and 2 technical specifications. These changes requested laproved radiological effluent specifications and altered section 6 of the technical specifications to reflect changes to the organization, the nuclear review and audit group (Nuclear Safety Review Board), and the independent safety engineering group.
This letter revises our October 2 submittal to reflect the recent organizational changes made as part of TVA's Nuclear Performance Plan.
By this letter we formally withdraw the proposed changes to the nuclear review and audit group. We will no longer establish a Nuclear Safety Staff, but will retain the existing Nuclear Safety Review Board format. These proposed changes are provided in the enclosure. NSRB review is being performed concurrent with your review.
This original significant hazards considerations evaluation made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 is still valid.
