Dear Mr. Simpson:
As one of the parties to the completed proceedings in the matter of Kansas Gas and Electric Company's application for an operating license for the Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit No.1, you have been receiving copies of correspondence to the licensee originated by the Division of Licensing during our review of the application and subsequent licensing and operating of the facility.
In accordance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) regulations, documents filed by the licensee and correspondence from us regarding the operation of the facility will continue to be made available in the NRC and local public document rooms.
In addition, NRC field offices or head-quarters will issue public announcements should any significant events occur with respect to the facility.
Since the proceedings to which you were an intervening party have been com-pleted and an operating license issued for the Wolf Creek facility and in light of the availability of documents in the public records, we will dis-continue sending you copies of our correspondence to the Kansas Gas and Electric Company. We hope that we have been helpful over the years and that the above sources of information will adequately serve your future needs.
