I want to thank you for putting on your helmet, so to speak, and giving Town Council an update on decomissioning efforts at Wood River Junction. I would apologize _to you for bearing up (quite well) to some misplaced comments.
Rest assured that Town Council appreciates your effort to provide updated information. However, one concern of considerable substance remains. Town Council has no mechanism or is not included in whatever comunication network exists between the United Nuclear Company and regulatory agencies monitoring the situation. This is of grave concern and as you witnessed the other night, can lead to serious misunderstandings of contamination levels.or the intent of company operations.
The Town Council would respectfully request that it be included in the carbon copy list of relevant informational documents concerning the decommissioning of this plant.
It is ou"r opinion the public interest

will be best served through constant communication.
Similarly, we will be asking the same of all regulatory agencies involved.
