l An NRC inspection was conducted January 28-31,1997, at your Wolf Creek Generating
j Station reactor facility. The enclosed report presents the scope and results of that
inspection.
! This inspection focused bpon activities within your radiation protection organization.

These activities included your program for maintaining radietinn exposures as low as is
- reasonably achievable, assessments and corrective actions, and portions of your solid
radioactive waste and transportation program.

! In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
