An NRC inspection was conducted January 28-31,1997, at your Wolf Creek Generating

Station reactor facility. The enclosed report presents the scope and results of that
inspection.

This inspection focused bpon activities within your radiation protection organization.

These activities included your program for maintaining radietinn exposures as low as is
reasonably achievable, assessments and corrective actions, and portions of your solid
radioactive waste and transportation program.

!
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
