20555 Dear Mr. McDonaldt The Pennsylvania State University hereby requests authorization to use the shipping container described by the following:
I. D. Number USA /5088/AF Model Number D34710-1-2 Babcock and Wilcox Corporation has recently applied for recertification of tnis container.
Penn State proposes to use this container to ship a total of seven (7) partial, unieradiated. MTR type fuel elements to Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Since this container will hold only 4 such elements, two shipments will be involved. We plan to make the first of the two shipments in early November.
