Dear Mr. Boardman:
The following action will be taken on the AKR 30 and AKR 50 480V CE Circuit Breakers which are used in motor control applications.
For each of the below listed breakers, the contact adjusting screws prevailing torque will be checked prior to entering Mode 1 during the start-up from the present' outage.
If the prevailing torque is less than 40 inch pounds, it will be torqued and Locktite 220 will be applied to the adjusting screw threads. This will satisfy Recommendation 002 from GF. Failure Analysis Report of PO #L-65298-P.
