Georgia Power Company Docket Nos. 50-424 & 50-425 Vogtle 1 & 2 License Nos. CPPR-105 & CPPR-109 The following violation was identified during an inspection conducted on September 3-26, 19S5.
The Severity Level was assigned in accordance with the NRC Enforcement Policy (10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C).
10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion V and the accepted QA program (PSAR Section 17), require, in part, that activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accomplished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
Contrary to the above, activities affecting quality were not accomplished in that on September 3 & 15, 1985 valve Nos. 2HY-212 B&C and 2HY-216 B&C were not properly protected in accordance with Procedure No. GD-T-09, Rev. 8 and on September 19 & 20 valve No. HV 8812A and electrical panel No.1-1605-P5-SDA were not protected properly in accordance with Procedure No. 00851-C, Rev 0.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement II).
Pursuant to 10 CFR 2.201, you are required to submit to this office within 30 1
days of the date of this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, i
including: (1) admission or dental of the alleged violations; (2) the reasons for the violations if admitted; (3) the corrective steps which have been taken and i
the results achieved; (4) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further j
violations; and (5) the date when full compliance will be achieved.
