Waterford 3 SES Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 Severe Accident Management Enhancement Schedule Change Gentlemen:
The purpose of this letter is to advise the NRC of a change to the schedule to make voluntary enhancements at Waterford 3 based on the Severe Accident Management Guidance in NEl Report 91-04, Revision 1. In previous correspondence dated March 30,1995, it was indicated that such enhancements would be made by July 1, 1997. However, other initiatives such as conversion to the improved Standard Technical Specifications, Maintenance Rule implementation, and the design basis upgrade have caused the need to move this schedule back to December 31,1998.
The revised schedule is consistant with the date that NEl recommends for implementation of the enhancements.
