Enclosed please find an amended application for XCOM0993 from General Electric Company.
The original request, which was forwarded to you for review on September 11, 1985, involves the export of one linde 3-channel gas blender to Taiwan's Institute of Nuclear Energy Research (INER) where it will be used as part of a program in researching alternate methods of processing 002 powder.
By this amended apolication.
General Electric is requesting that one Hazen-Quinn laboratory rotary l
bench kiln, valued _at $15,000, be added to the original request for the same end use. Accordingly, the total value of the equipment to be exported will be increased to $20,000.
We would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures, as to whether the additional proposed export also meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act as amended by the Nuclear Nonproliferation Act of 1978.
