l In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54 (p) ar.d 10 CFR 50.4, Southern Nuclear Operating Company hereby submits three copies of Amendment 34 to the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit 1 and Unit 2 Physical Security and Contingency Plan (the Security Plan). By copy of this letter two copies of Amendment 34 are being provided to the NRC Region II office.
This amendment to the Physical Security and Contingency Plan incorporates editorial and administrative changes associated with the Facility Operating License transfer for VEGP from Georgir. Power Company to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, effective on March 22,1997.
l provides the description andjustification for the changes and enclosure 2 contains the actual Amendment 34 pages. Enclosures 3 and 4 give insertion instructions 1
and the new efective page list for the Security Plan. Only Enclosure 2 is safeguards information and should be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21.
