Ogriding License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 1997 Bienmal Eii igwcy Exercise Scenario
Dear Sir:
i
'Ihis letter transmits two copies of the scenano of the 1997 Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Bienmal Emergency Exercise scheduled to be conducted on March 5,1997. As previously discussed with your staff, TMI conducts player responsive drills to increase exercise realism. In this type of drill, real time meteorology is used and the actions of the participants dunng the coune of the drill have a direct effect on the operational and radiological drill conditions. Key drill parameters which are transparent to the players are controlled to ensure that the time line is followed and the objectives met. Based upon predetermmed assumptions, back up data will be provided should difficulties be expenenced with the simulator or the electronic transfer of the real time data during the drill.
If you have any questions pertauung to the scenario, please contact Jeffery Grisewood at 717-948-2085.
