.Licsnsing Branch No. 2
. Division of Licensing U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C.
20555
SUBJECT:
Report of Changes Being Made to the Limerick Generating _ Station, Unit l' Initial Test Program Daar Mr. Butler:
License Condition No. 6 to the Limerick Generating Station Facility Operating License NPF-39 requires that any changes to the initial test program described in Section 14 of ths FSAR made in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59 be reported in accordance with 50.59(b) within one month of such change.
Pursuant to this requirement, this letter is to cdvise you that the Limerick Generating Station, Unit 1,.Startup Tsat Programs (STP) Test-37, " Main Steam System and Turbine l
. Parformance and Plant Dynamic Response Verifications", has been
.daleted from the testing program.
This deletion has been made
-because the test requirements of STP-37 are being met by the
-performance of other startup tests.
Specifically, the test objactives of STP-37 are fulfilled by Startup Test Procedures i
l lNon. 14, 15, 20, 22, 23, 27, 29 and 30.
A review of this change j
in-the STP~was completed which determined that it does not f
involve a change in the Technical Specifications nor' is it an unroviewed safety. question.

Mr. W.
R. Butler October 22, 1985 Page 2 STP-37 was added to the Startup Test Program in response to Question 640.10 in the FSAR regarding compliance with Regulatory Guide 1.68.
An analysis of the specific requirements of R.G.
1.68, Appendix A, Section 4.k, 5.v and 5.hh, has determined that all of the requirements of Regulatory Guide 1.68 are met by the other startup test procedures described above.
Since these other tests fully meet the test objectives of STP-37, the deletion of STP-37 does not decrease the testing required by Regulatory Guide 1.68 to demonstrate the cafe operation of the plant.
