Dear Mr Saltare111:
The following appropriate action shall be undertaken by Brown & Root in response to the findings of the subject review.
(These findings will have been presented both ver-bally and in report form by Quadrex to Brown & Root on May 7, 1981).

Those findings identified as most serious a.
Brown & Root should review these items and report to HL&P in writinJ, no later than noontime on May 8, 1981, whether or not these problems conntitute a potential re-portable problem in accordance with 10 CFR l
50.55 (e). Appropriate rationale shall be provided which justifies your conclusions.
l HL&P in turn will have to make its judg-ment and report any potential 50.55(e) problems to the NRC prior to close of busi-ness on May 8,1981.

With regard to all the findings reported from the Quadrex review, Brown & Root should underteke the j

Brown & Root should identify what designs, if any, owing to problems uncovered in the review, require reverificatien, or reanaly-sis and/or redesign. Appropriate stop work orders should be issued to Construction identifying any activities that should be deferred pending completion of the reveri-fication, or reanalysis and/or redesign.

Brown & Root shuuld feature the impact of these reverifications, or reanalyses and/or redesigns in their reforecastino activity, identifying the cost and schedule impact from both an engineering as well as a con-struction viewpoint.
In view of the importance to take timely and positive action relative to the Quadrex findings, it is requested that Brown & Root Project Management provide a weekly report as part of its meeting with HL&P Project Management, highlight-ing Brown & Root's progress in dealing with the above.
