Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Heavy Loads - Crane Interlock Due to the volume of work required to suprort restart, it is taking longer than expected to complete the modification of the Fuel Handling Building Crane Interlock System. This was scheduled for October,1985 as discussed in our letter of December 21, 1984, however completion of the modification has been rescheduled for December,1985 Procedural changes to reflect use of the crane interlocks will be completed by March,1986. Adequate administrative controls are currently in place to centrol the movement of heavy loads in the Fuel Handling Building, and these controls will remain in effect until such time as this modification is complete and procedures are updated. Delay in the modification schedule for the Fuel Handling Building crane interlocks does not represent a safety concern.
