Thirty Day Response to Generic Letter 97-01, " Degradation of Control Rod Drive Mechanism Nozzle and Other Vessel Closure Head Penetrations" Gentlemen:
Generic Letter 97-01, " Degradation of Control Rod Drive Mechanism Nozzle and Other Vessel Closure Head Penetrations," requested Licensees to provide two responses; one within 30 days, and another within 120 days, of the date of the Generic Letter.
The Generic Letter requested that the 30-day response indicate whether the requested actions will be completed, and whether the requested information will be submitted to the NRC within the reauested time period.
Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation will submit a written response to the NRC by July 30, 1997, relative to Items 1 and 2 of the Requested Information section of Generic Letter 97-01.
