PETITION FOR LEAVE TO INTERVENE In response to the September 5, 1985 Notice of Hearing and as specified in 10 C.F.R. 5 2.714, GPU Nuclear Corporation hereby petitions to intervene in this proceeding.

Mr. Husted is an employee of Petitioner today, and was an employee at the time the issues arose that are the subject of I

Petitioner seeks to intervene in the proceeding in order to ensure that its interests in the matters that will be liti-l gated are fully represented and protected. The outcome of the j proceeding r.ecessarily will affect Petitioner's perspective as an employer and may affect individuals in Petitlener's employ 8510240673 851021 PDR ADOCK 05000299 Q PDR

in addition to Mr. Husted. Moreover, the conduct of the pro-ceeding and its scope will impact Petitioner and certain of its employees, as it can be expected that individuals in Petition-er's employ may be identified as witnesses because of their em-ployment status, or may otherwise become involved in the pro-ceeding.

Accordingly, GPU Nuclear requests that the Administrative Law Judge grant its petition for leave to intervene in this

., proceeding.
