ISSUE N0.1 Based upon observations during the visit, the reviewer questioned the accuracy of the response to question 430.28.
The response to this question has subsequently reviewed and the following inaccura-cies were found:
i 1.
The " Battery Charger Disconnect Open" ala'rm is said to be provided in the main control room, but no annunciator win-dow is identified as such.
2.
Tha "DC System Ground" alarm was not included in the system design.
j To resolve these inconsistencies, DLC plans to:
1.
Revise the response to question 430.28 to indicate the
^
" Battery Charger Disconnect Open" alarm is part of the "DC Bus Trouble" alarm which is already provided in the control i
j room.
2.
Provide a "DC System Ground" alarm which is indicated in the control room.
ISSUE NO. 2 I
The reviewer questioned whether the FSAR provides a complete list of diesel generator trips which are bypassed on a safety signal. A subsequent review of FSAR 8.3.1.1.15 has shown that the FSAR must be revised.
The following trips are not bypassed when the diesel j
generator receives an emergency start signal:
i l
Generator current differential 1
Generator overexcitation Engine overspeed j
Back-up phase fault detection (torque controlled) j The " Generator Overexcitation" and "Back-up Phase Fault Detection" 1
trips use redundant logic in order to cause a tr:p.
The FSAR will be revised to incorporate this information.
