On November 20, 1985, members of the staff toured the Millstone Unit 1 Reactor Building including the drywell. Access to containment was possible because the unit was in the midst of Reload #10. In company with a NNEC0 health physicist and the Senior Resident inspector, we were able to locate several items of interest in the drywell: jet pump risers, reactor vessel instrument line pipe penetration welds involved in the IGSCC ultrasonic inspection program, large drywell vents, seismic restraints, safety relief lines, and the ongoing replacement of containment ventilation heat exchangers. In addition, we toured the site and of particular interest was the Millstone intake structure.

NNECO representatives reported that the reload outage schedule had slipped a few days but plant startup was stiil scheduled for early December.
