This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. E. Oller of this office on July 22-26, 1985, of your facility at Warren, Ohio, and to the discussions nf our findings with Mr. Rudy Pavlik at the conclusien of the inspection.
The purpose of this inspection was to review the technical aspects of manufacturing deficiencies which have occurred in hydraulic sway and shock suppressors manufactured by ITT Grinnell and furnished to numerous nuclear power plants. Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the enclosed report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, we found no instance where you failed to meet NRC requirements.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
