NRC INSPECTION
Dear Mr. Nielson:

This refers to the inspection conducted on March 27,1997, at Norfolk Southern Railroad Construction Site, Kansas City, Missouri. The purpose of the inspection was to determine ;
whether activities authorized by 10 CFR 150.20 and Specific Agreement State License No.
l ORE-0723-1 (Oregon), were conducted safely and in accordance with NRC requirements. '
At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with you.
The inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they {
relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations I and with the conditions of your license that apply to work performed in non-agreement l states. The inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures, representative records, and an interview with you. {
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practices," a copy of this letter be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
