SUBJECT:
SUPPLEMENT NO. 9 TO THE PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT Enclosed for your review and approval is the SER Supplement No. 9 for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2.
This supplement assesses the effects of the January 31, 1986 earthquake in Ohio on the construction and proposed licensing of the Perry Nuclear Power Plants, Units 1 and 2.
The SSER concludes that the earthquake did. not affect the ability of the plant to operate.
Inputs for the SSER were received from L. Reiter, R. Herman, P. Sobel, A. Lee, and H. Polk, and coordinated and approved at the appropriate management level.
The SSER print date is March 1986. A separate memo submitting the SSER to the ACRS is also enclosed for your signature.
If you have no further comments, we are. prepared to issue this SSER.
