Stolz, Chief Operu'ing Reactors Branch No. 4 U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D. C. 20555

Dear Mr. Stolz:

Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1 (TMI-1)

Operating Licer.se No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Replica Simulator Status Update In our special status report of July 19, 1985 GPUN indicated that the Singer Link replica simulator delivery was delayed to the second quarter of 1986.

Enclosed please find a copy of the GPUN projected milestones remaining for this project which indicate that the optimistic schedule for training on the simulator to begin is August 1986.

Please note that GPUN is currently working with Singer Link to minimize or avert, if possible, further schedule delays.

GPUN will have a full complement of staff and will have developed initial simulator training lesson plans by the revised delivery date.

The new building being constructed to house the simulator will be completed in October 1985.

Sincerely, H. D.
