Docket 50-186 University of Missouri
Subject:
Change requests pursuant to 10CFR50.59(c) and 10CFR50.90 for the following Technical Specifications:
a) 4.2.d " Reactor Containment" b) 5.1 (bases) " Containment System" c) 6.1.e, 6.1.f and 6.1.h " Administration" d) Figure 6.0 " Admini s tra tion"
Dear Sir:
The University of Missouri Research Reactor requests approval to make the enclosed changes to the Technical Specifications listed above. The justification for these changes are:
a) The present Technical Specification 4.2.d includes an obsolete administrative title " Reactor Supervisor". We request this title be replaced with the current corresponding title " Reactor Manager" so that this Technical Specification will reflect present adminis-trative position terminology.
b) The bases for Technical Specification 5.1 incorrectly reference the building leak rate design limits to Technical Specification 4.2.a. The reference should be changed to 4.2.c which is the correct reference to building leak rate design limits.

i c) The present Technical Specifications 6.1.e. 6.1.f and 6.1.h refer to the AEC and should be corrected to refer to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. These changes to the administrative section 3
were suggested by Region III Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspec-1 tors in their routine safety inspection August 27-30, 1984.
d) The requested change to Figure 6.0 is due to a change in adminis- !
j trative organizational structure initiated by the new Vice President j for Academic Affairs, Jay Barton. We request that Figure 6.0 be
- changed in accordance with the enclosed figure so that the Techni-l' cal Specification Figure reflects the present administrative organi-zation. ,
The changes requested in this letter have no affect on the daily opera-i tions of the reactor or the reactor safety system. These changes to our 1 l technical specifications are made pursuant to 10CFR50.59(c) and 10CFR50.90. !
